Clive’s location portrait sessions are fun, relaxed and spontaneous.
“My aim is always to capture the real person. I achieve this by creating a relaxed environment for each individual sitting so that the images reflect a natural mood”.
Our studio is located in the Millgate area of Newark. This is an ideal location which forms the perfect backdrop for our outdoor portrait sessions; making use of old cobbled laneways, rustic doors, the riverside and castle grounds. Clients can alternatively choose a suitable location of their choice such as a play park, rural setting or their own home which is perfect for young babies and pregnancy shoots.
“Because I only use natural light it gives clients the flexibility to choose where they want to have the sitting.”
We usually say to allow between 30 minutes to an hour for the sitting but this always depends on the amount of people being photographed and their ages. As Clive is himself the proud owner of a baby girl he understands that babies and children sometimes have different agendas and don’t always agree with their parents on suitable times for such things!
“If the baby is crying I try to reassure the parents that I am in no hurry and will gladly wait as long as needed. However it has been known to have to reschedule which is fine as well!”
About a week after the sitting clients are invited to the studio to view the images and discuss purchases.
